The Verbier Festival offers an evening to the King of Gypsy music!

The concert promises to be joyful! The Hungarian virtuoso will mix jazz standards, works by Piazzolla, melodies from the Hungarian gypsy repertoire and original compositions by Roby Lakatos. Music and easy-to-listen-to virtuosity will be celebrated!

Roby Lakatos was born in a family where music was part of the immediate culture; he learnt music in a very different way from what an academic education can give. He is mostly renowned for his spontaneity and exceptional agility. Admired by the greatest artists including Yehudi Menuhin who regularly came to hear him in his club in Brussels, Roby Lakatos symbolizes a culture for which music is a celebration.
